Cooperation Visit From Nazilli Chamber Of Commerce to İzmir Italian Chamber Of Commerce

A visit was made to the Italian Chamber of Commerce in order to increase the experience of our chamber members in international trade, to find new markets and to develop bilateral cooperation opportunities.

The meeting held at the level of the Board of Directors of both Chambers; President Nuri ARSLAN, Board Members Gökhan YILDIZ and Ali AYDIN, Assembly Member Süleyman GÜRBÜZ and General Coordinator Eray Rüştü TAKA attended from Nazilli Chamber of Commerce.           The Italian Chamber of Commerce was represented by President Pıetro ALBA ,board members Şahika AŞKINER, Enrıco Riccardo ALIBERTI, Buket KASALI, Erdal KARDAŞ and General Secretary Eren ALPAR.

President Pıetro ALBA made the opening speech; Expressing their satisfaction with this visit first of all, expressing that they are open to cooperation with Nazilli Chamber of Commerce in helping their members to trade mutually, We would like to work with NTO to increase the export and import opportunities to be made from Nazilli Region to Italy from Italy to Nazilli. As the Italian Chamber of Commerce, we operate in line with the same purpose as NTO. It will be an important experience for us to cooperate with NTO, one of the largest professional organizations in its region. The pandemic process has restricted the activities of the global economy. Nazilli Long Life Village Project was appreciated.

While the visual presentation made by our chamber about the region attracted attention, the executive board of the Italian Chamber of Commerce stated that they found the Nazilli Long Life Village project very important and considered it as a work to be implemented.

Nazilli Region is one of the largest districts of the Aegean region, located in the middle of the ancient cities of Hierapolis, Nysa and Aphrodisias, with a long established history. Besides its ancient cities, we are the capital of strategic products such as figs, chestnuts and strawberries. High commercial value figs known as Yellow Lop are grown in our region. Considering this, as well as by the amount of fig production in 2018. Turkey is number 1 with 306 thousand tons and 27%.

We have a say in chestnut production. Çilek is one of our important export products. Important industrial facilities such as Europe’s largest deep freezer factory, heat boilers, cnc factory, automotive sub-industry are located in our region. All of our aim is to create export opportunities for our products grown and produced in our region and to provide the necessary environment and conditions. We are here to explore cooperation opportunities and find an answer to the question of whether we can meet on a common ground. I find their approach to the subject positive.
