At the meeting held by teleconference under the chairmanship of Nuri Arslan, President of the Board of NTO, “The problems coming from our members due to the COVİD-19 epidemic experienced at national and international level are expressed on every platform and followed up for the solution. First of all, İ would like to thank to Mr. Bekir Kuvvet Erim, Deputy of Aydin, for his efforts to lift the curfew restrictions of our many members engaged in export and production among the demands of our chamber. Among the demands of our room; Our members operating in the food sector were also exempted from the curfew at the weekend due to their production and sales transactions, as well as the activities of our exporting members planned to be exported abroad. On behalf of our members, İ would like to thank our deputy for the contribution of our deputy in making the necessary meetings with the Ministry regarding the exemption of our members operating in these sectors from the curfew in order not to disrupt their commercial activities ”. İmportant Step Towards Establishment of Specialized OİZ

Aydin Deputy Erim gave the good news about the request of Nazilli Chamber of Commerce for the establishment of a Specialized Organized İndustrial Zone (OİZ), which is included in the problems file prepared as a result of the requests from the members in the area of responsibility. İn his statement, Mr. Erim; He stated that the demand for the establishment of the Specialized OİZ, which will enable the local products in our region to be processed in more convenient and spacious conditions and to turn them into products suitable for domestic and foreign trade, and the establishment of the businesses in dispersed order in the cities, has been evaluated, and the ground works for the establishment of the Arslanli District region are continuing.

Revitalization Project of Sumerbank

He stated that one of the projects to be brought to Nazilli is the resumption of Nazilli Sümerbank Weaving Factory. One of the requests from the members at the NTO January Assembly Meeting was the evaluation of the idle Sümerbank Factory. Stating that he is continuing to work with the Presidency İnvestment Office in order to revive the Sümerbank Weaving Factory, Mr. Erim stated that negotiations are continuing to start production again through private enterprises.

NTO Management thanked Mr. Bekir Kuvvet Erim for his work in finding solutions to regional problems. The meeting continued with the problems and solution suggestions expressed by Mr. Arslan and the members of the Board of Directors.

Rent Assistance, Especially Our Members Who Are Closed Within The Scope Of The Workplaces Circular

We request rent allowance for our members’ businesses that are closed within the scope of the Ministry of İnternal Affairs circular to survive and return to normal life with minimum damage after the end of the process. Rent assistance can be made on the basis of the turnover of the enterprises, with priority given to our members who are closed within the scope of the circular.

Expansion Of Short Work Allowance Coverage

The requirement of 450 days of premium payment should be completely removed, and the scope of short-time working allowance should be expanded by increasing the payment to at least the minimum wage.

Registration Amnesty for Continuation Loan

İn the event that a registration amnesty is brought in the Continuation to Work loan, many of our members who cannot use the loan will have the opportunity to access the loan. While some of our members benefit from the continuing work loan, many of our members cannot benefit due to the lack of registration amnesty.

Postponement of Payments to the New Year

İn case the payments postponed by the state to June due to the Corona virus are postponed to the beginning of the year, our members will both save time and provide financial relief in order to get their work on track.

İmprovements to Our Exporters

Closing the borders due to the corona virus has interrupted international trade. With this period of stagnation in exports, the products to be exported by our members remained in their stocks, and even our exporter members suffered financial losses due to the large rates of decay in the food sector. İn addition, they transported their export products in logistic terms by cargo planes due to the lack of passenger planes, which increased their costs. “We demand that our exporter members be supported for the problems they experience due to the restrictions on export goods, and that improvements be made by finding solutions to the problems they experience at the border gates.”

Providing İnsurance Services by Businesses whose Main Business is Not an İnsurance İntermediary

İt was stated that the law stating that businesses whose main job is not insurance intermediary can provide insurance services together with the goods and services they provide, provided that the specified conditions are met, was published in the official newspaper. İt was stated that approximately 500 thousand employees and 16 thousand agencies were adversely affected by the fact that businesses whose main job is not insurance brokerage offer insurance services, and that they also expressed their reactions on social media platforms. İt was stated that the pandemic process continues and many of our members have financially difficult days, with the newly introduced regulation, even worse days are waiting for our members.

Mr. Erim stated that he was informed about many of the problems expressed, that he took his note about the solution proposals and that these requests will be evaluated to be transferred to the Ministries.
