Our President of the Board Nuri Arslan attended the Joint Council Meeting of the Chambers of Commerce held in Ankara TOBB Twin Towers

The Presidents of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges attended the meeting held at the Twin Towers TOBB headquarters. TOBB President M.Rifat HİSARCIKLIOĞLU chaired the meeting, which was also attended by the Minister of Commerce, Mr. Mehmet MUŞ. At the meeting, the work that needs to be done to improve the economic structure and reach the level it deserves was discussed. The Presidents of the Chambers and Commodity Exchanges expressed the problems concerning their regions.

Nuri ARSLAN, who made a speech at the meeting; While drawing attention to regional problems, he stated that all segments should make the necessary sacrifice and effort in common sense in order to improve the economy. The issues included in the NTO Issues File were presented to the information of the meeting participants along with the solution suggestions. Nuri ARSLAN, in his speech, stated that private companies registered with Chambers of Commerce need suitable financing resources under the conditions of tradesman’s guarantee loan and that supporting small and medium-sized businesses is of vital importance for the country’s economy.

ARSLAN; Although there are only 7 vocational and technical education high schools in Nazilli and the surrounding six districts in our area of responsibility, there are 32 Anatolian high schools and general high schools. Considering Turkey’s industrialization targets, in the coming years, the industry and manufacturing sector will continue to focus on welding, machinery, carpentry, metal industry, lathe, electricity, electronics, etc. employment demand will increase. However, the number of graduates of Industrial Vocational High Schools and the quality of education remain insufficient. It is requested that necessary measures be taken to increase the number of Industrial Vocational High Schools, to improve existing schools and to ensure that graduates are at the desired level in terms of quality.

Industry and trade areas are needed in our region, if a land is included in an industrial area, its value suddenly increases 10 times. Since a small-scale enterprise must first reach the level of a medium-sized company in the OIZ area, there is a need for industrial and manufacturing workplaces outside the Organized Industrial areas. He said that they demanded that the industrial parcels to be created by TOKİ to be allocated to the investor, that is, to be sold at an affordable cost, in order to meet the industrial and commercial area needs.

In the continuation of his speech, he stated that they expect the support of the Ministry regarding the prices of booths rented on behalf of the Chamber in international fairs in order to increase the export amount of its members and to encourage the enterprises that have not been able to export due to various reasons. Although foreign fair support is provided for capital companies and all profit-seeking businesses, there is no support for Chambers of Commerce that open stands abroad and promote their members and products in order to increase the exports of their members. I believe that necessary work will be done on this issue,” he said.

With a change made in the decision on State Aids in Investments, while investments to be made in Buharkent, Karacasu, Kuyucak, Bozdoğan, Sultanhisar and Yenipazar districts of Aydın will benefit from the support of the 3rd region, it is not fair for the investments to be made in Nazilli, which is within the same area, to benefit from the support of the 2nd region. He said that they demanded Nazilli to benefit from the support and incentives of the 3rd region.

In the last part of his speech, ARSLAN talked about the sample parts brought from abroad for production; He said that customs duty should not be collected from machinery and automotive parts brought from abroad for production and manufacturing purposes in the country, and the logistics and transportation costs of products supplied only for this purpose should be subsidized.
