A Meeting Of The Union Of Forces With The Chambers And Exchanges Of The Province Of Aydin Was Held İn Nazilli
Aydin provincial chambers and exchanges, which have been conducting lobbying activities for the general problems and solution proposals of Aydin on different dates in the past years, came together with the hosting of our chamber.
At the meeting attended by all 9 chambers and commodity exchange Board and Assembly Presidents, Board of Directors and Assembly members in Aydin province, a memorandum of understanding was prepared to be conveyed to the authorities by focusing on the problems of Aydin province.
Our meeting started with the opening speech of Nuri Arslan, the President of the Board of Directors. Then continued with the presentation of Taylan Şenol, the Chairman of the Board of Morova, who operates in the olive and olive oil sector, about the zero waste project. He stated that they contributed to the economy and achieved a first in the world with the project, which aims to transform olive oil waste, which is seen as an important problem in the sector, to liquid fertilizer and organic food.
The meeting continued with the speeches of Aydin Chamber and Exchange Presidents about the problems and solution proposals. All presidents stated that they will follow up to solve the problems they have expressed and the importance of acting together.
Health, tourism, investment, environment, transportation, export, trade, such as many issues addressed at the meeting of the Union of forces of the chamber and exchanges of the province of Aydin signed the text of the memorandum;
İnvestment
We are in the 77th place in public investments in the country list. New investments are interrupted due to the fact that many authorities in investment and public services are concentrated in the central government, and they are abandoned during the project phase. The areas to be invested must be determined in advance. İn addition, for those who want to invest in the specified areas with the 1/25000 application, it is necessary to carry out unity of Power and lobby activities together with the chambers and exchanges of Aydin province in order to provide a place with reasonable cost.
İt is necessary to prevent the establishment of new businesses that will operate in the same sector by making an investment map in Aydin.
Health
We need to take urgent and applicable measures for the corona virus that is likely to come to our country. This situation threatens our health and trade in all of our districts, especially the tourism of our districts such as Kuşadasi and Didim. A workshop should be held from TOBB on the subject to relax our members and our economy.
Tourism
Cooperation should be made with all chambers and exchanges and a commercial network should be established in order to provide products and services to hotels and businesses operating in the tourism sector in Kusadasi and Didim from other districts of Aydin.
İncentive Mechanism
Aydin’s place in the second region in the development ranking leads to unfair competition. İn order to make a sectoral rather than regional ranking in the incentive mechanisms, a revision study is required. İn addition, within the scope of the attraction centers project for Didim and Kusadasi, we need to attract government incentives to the region.
İn these days when we are in economic bottleneck, the incentive mechanisms of existing facilities should be developed by limiting the state support and support should not be given to new facilities.
Specialized OSB
Specialized OİZs should be established for the entire province of Aydin, especially our members operating in the marble and fig sector. We need to join forces for a possible recycled paper factory to be established in Söke.
Transportation
İt is necessary to find a solution to our highway problem planned to be built in Aydin, our double-line train need, and our airport problem. İn addition, we must establish a logistics network in order to deliver the goods we produce to the port as soon as possible.
Export
Our exports were negatively affected due to the closed customs gates on the southeastern border.
VAT rates
We think that the basic food VAT rate should be reduced from 8% to 1% for the revival of the economy.
We aim to relieve the farmer by reducing the high input costs in agriculture by removing the consumption tax on diesel, paying irrigation costs by the state and implementing an application for electricity expenses. We demand that the cotton premium supports are announced in a timely manner.
Restructuring Debts
A restructuring should be done in tax and dues debts. We also await registration amnesty.
Our President Nuri Arslan, who made a statement at the end of the meeting, said, “We are working together with all our chamber and stock exchange presidents to bring Aydin to the place it deserves in terms of economy. We conduct lobbying activities to solve our problems. The problems we have identified are not insoluble problems. The demands of all chamber and commodity exchange presidents are the same. Our common denominator with all our presidents is to expand the production capacity and increase the state support for production. Thus, the development of the province of Aydin will be achieved at the desired level, and thus, employment increase will be observed. For this reason, we will follow the decisions we made at the Union Forces Meeting.
